Die 18-jährige Sarah Schubert ist spurlos verschwunden. Ihr Vater, Mathias Schubert, macht sich auf die Suche nach ihr, was eigentlich nicht ungewöhnlich für einen Vater ist. Doch Mathias Schubert ist ein Knacki und er hat nur zwei Tage Freigang. Ihm bleiben also 48 Stunden, um seine Tochter aufzuspüren. In Sarahs Wohnung trifft Schubert auf einen jungen Mann, der gerade Blutspuren beseitigen will, die offenbar mit einem Mordfall in Verbindung stehen, den Ben und Semir gerade untersuchen. Schon bald wird ihnen klar, dass der Mordfall und Sarahs Verschwinden zusammenhängen. Die Suche nach Sarah führt sowohl Schubert als auch Semir und Ben zu Daniel Lindlaub, der einen gefährlichen Menschenhändlerring leitet: Junge Frauen werden im Internet ausgesucht, dann entführt und an reiche Kunden im Ausland verkauft. Den Autobahncops und Schubert bleibt nur wenig Zeit, Sarah zu finden, bevor sie - zusammen mit anderen Frauen - außer Landes gebracht
